Mystery Engine #6
« on: July 27, 2018, 05:44:01 PM »

Here is another Mystery engine
Looking for help identifying it.
•   It might be a Super Cyclone, but I am not sure
•   No markings of any kind – why did they do that???!!!
•   Dual rings
•   Large motor, perhaps a 60?
•   Spark Ignition assy and spark plug
•   Integral fuel tank

Thanks in advance for your help

Looks like a  1948 Atwood Triumph 40-51 as shown upon page 5 of my Anderson's Blue book (4th Edition) engine Bible!

Does it have fins on the bottom of the CC?

Cheers, Jerry

It's an early Atwood 49 - the 49 is stamped on the lug.
