My New Kit Part III
« on: May 22, 2008, 07:37:10 PM »
Did not know what a project I was getting into.  What the minor mods would do to things.  I have had a lot of advice and offers of help locally.  I am in no hurry as this was supposed to be done last year.  The people in charge of the money kept putting off the bids I had for a cement floor, but, it works out better as now I will have a wooden floor that is insulated.  The rafters were fun figuring them out, like doing an I=Beam stunter.  The plans called for 24 inch centers on the rafters.  I went with 16 1/2 centers with adjustment for the 8 foot sheeting.  The picture will show where I got before the rains came.  Today was spent making a trench for the electric line to the shop.  Amazing how much mud your shoes pick up.  In fact I will miss the TOPCLASS racing this weekend.  Will be working on the electrical stuff.  The guy doing it for me works a full time job as an electrician.  More later,  DOC Holliday

Second try as I guess I am getting worn out.  Did take the day off Sunday to go fly in the TOPCLASS contest.  But, today we were out in the mud doing the electrical work.  Have some more pipe/tubing to put under ground for the gas and the cable/dish tv hookup.  This is a lot harder than any model plane I have ever built, but, I hope it will be worth it.  Time for bed as I have 3 more days and I will be unemployed again.  DOC Holliday

Don't dare complain about the rain, even tho we have mud up to our knees.  Places in this great country wish they just get a little rain.  Have some minor details before calling the city for inspection of the electrical.  DOC Holliday

Doc,

Depends on where you are, I guess. We, ah, get plenty of rain. Plenty.
