My magnum (with pics)
« on: July 18, 2006, 02:58:07 PM »
Seeing as all the other Magnums are being posted etc....here is the one I have nearly completed....just need the fuel tank, wheels and muffler.

As it sits it weighs 59.3oz........with the LA46 in front.  I am hoping the 46 will pull it round OK or I may have to go to a super tigre 51.

Wynn,

Very clean looking. I like the colors. Should fly fine with the 46.

Wynn,

Is this a Magnum built from a Sig kit?  Didd you build it as the plans call...what did you do to cut weight?

Hey Wynn,
It looks really good. I like it!! Good to see you did better with the weight than I did. You'll have a good time with it. All monocoat ??

Wing is built up, not foam.....that saved a ton of weight.....

built pretty much form plan, obviously canopy is a little  different

saved weight wherever possible...lots of sanding....that helps.....good wood is the best start tho.......

wings are done in SIG aerokote......fuse is painted with rattle can lacquers......fuel proofed with a clear coat.

cant wait to fly it....should be fun.......
