I just looked at a map of Oregon's fires and it looks like the fire is just about a mile from Lyons, OR.  Anyone know how Mike is doing?

I heard from John Thompson that Mike and his house are OK.

If I understand correctly, Mike left the area shortly before the fire on a planned trip.  His house is reported to be ok.

  My Cousin lives about 40 miles due East of Salem , Or. They evacuated by order Tuesday night at midnight her pasture was burned up the houses around her are gone but her's is intact.

Hello All!   Just arrived back from our road trip which started the day before the fires came down into our area.  The western boundary of the fire line was only about one thousand feet from our property.  Found out about the fire becoming local the next day when we had been traveling.  We kept in touch with friends, family and neighbors while on the road about what was happening.  Had briefly considered returning, but there would have been nothing I could do.  Anyway, thanks to all who called or texted with their concerns while I was on the road. It's good to be home (and to have a home).
