Marvin Denny
« on: December 27, 2014, 04:25:49 PM »
Please include Marvin "bigiron" Denny in your prayers.  I talked with Marvin on Christmas day, his son called me and put him on the phone.  Marvin was allowed to come home for Christmas and then had to go back to the hospital.  To be honest, things are not good.  Please put and keep Marvin and his family, especially Rhea his wife, in your prayers.  Marvin is a really great guy who has helped countless people in this hobby in many ways.

Thank you,
Bill

Marvin Denny called me Christmas afternoon. He got out of rehab for a day, but had to go back that evening.

Marvin and Rhee Denny are two of the nicest and most generous people that you will ever meet.

Marvin was a fixture at the Tulsa Gluedobber's contest for over 20 years. His enthusiasm and expertise were a joy to watch.

My prayers go with Marvin and Rhee.

       Hi All:

I head heard of Marvin through a friend of mine who also lived in Wichita.

I met Marvin at the 80 Nats  and since them have kept in touch via telephone. He impresed me as a very good person and I still have this impression after many years.

Marvin had helped me many times by giving me his information concerning Fox engines , engine parts and Foxberg Racing.  He was very generous with his "secrets." He helped people to find Fox parts that he had in his "junk barrel."

                                                                               Get well soon Marvin,

                                                                               Frank McCune

Let me add to this, Marvin is one of the gentlemen that I have always admired.   Someone needs something and he has it, it is theirs.   He even done that for me on some small items.   His statement if I can remember right, "What are friends for if they can't help a person out".   I do hope he and Rhea get better.  PS: I seen him do this and refuse monetary reembersment.

Marv & Rhea (aka Big Iron & Texas Red) are two of those wonderful people that make flying meets so much fun.  God Bless them and keep them!

Marvin helped me train some cub scouts to fly CL models in Wichita about 6 years ago. A great gentlemen to fly and I send my best wishes to Marvin and his wife.

I bought 2 Fox 19's from Marvin and he sent 3 because "I found one really good one so I sent it too."  He also sent some nva's and a backplate gasket.  I hope to meet you in person soon Marvin.

A few years ago, Marvin dug through his "junk barrel" and sent me the correct size vintage Veco wheels/tires - at NO charge - for use on my profile scale A-26 (Pat King design).  He's quite a guy!
