leadouts
« on: March 23, 2012, 12:50:31 AM »
guy's
Noel Drindak had an article in a mag, it may have been stunt news, not sure.
He talked about doing the leadout ends on music wire and used a Dubro twist tool.
Can anyone name the mag?
Thanks
Paul

Paul,
I only glanced at the article and don't remember much, but I use the DuBro wire twister for fishing wire and I have also used it on the Flight Streak Trainer...worked fine. The wire straightener is especially useful.  See link:

That's the way I always made mine.  I don't care for cable leadouts.

I will use solid wire leadouts for external controls.   But, the last time I used them on an internal setup, one wire got bent right at the leadout tube.   Kept hanging up as I could not get it out far enough to straighten.

DuBro Kwik Twist - It performs a "Haywire twist" on solid leadouts. This what I intend to use on my current build.

If you do a little bit every day it will get done, or you can do it tomorrow.
