Winter has broken this week in Minnesota.....we had a sunny 61º day and no wind so I went to the flying field to fly some control line. It has been since the Carolina Criterium Contest this past October since I have really flown the whole stunt pattern. Though I have done some "dry flying" in my studio. Hoping not to lose what I learned this past year skill-wise.
Flew some good flights with the Prowler. Overall...not too bad. Still much practice to do to get good form.
Got the Top Flite ARF Nobler up for some trimming. Liking this plane a lot. Feels really good and now that it is trimming out I look forward to flying this coming season. (hopefully we will procure a flying field!)
Also got the Plan B in the air and breaking in the Saito .40 four stroke. It started running good and then I pancaked it in outside square loops.  Poor ol' rudder. Going for low bottoms has a price. It is repairable though and needs an engine part now.
It was truly a goodly day out smelling castor and grabbing the handle.
Thankee.

Always a pleasure to watch & listen to your videos.  Wonder who has the "flying bug"?  Like the comment about plenty of planes at home for a summer of flying.  Good luck.   H^^

You still got it Shug.
Thanks for sharing. Plan B will live to fly another day. 👀

You going to the big show in 95 days?

I feel confident with the Prowler. Thanks Paul.

You will have to figure out how to work the pattern into your act.

Thanks for sharing your fortunes and misfortunes. Do you live in the Minneapolis area? Just wondering because my son lives there and I was able to get out of CA last summer and visit him there. I was very impressed with how beautiful the twin cities are.

While flying the pattern, my incompetence always exceeds my expectations.

Another great video and I do love watching them.   I managed to get out late last Sunday and get a couple of flights.   I am out of shape.   Beautiful week for flying and have been busy every day.  Family vacation next week over spring break.   No VSC either and I miss the guys and gals out there.   Can I divorce a family.   By the way I think we all have had that too low a pull out on a plane.  I know you will  have the plane flying again.

Several years ago I ran into Big Art at a Toledo Model Show, I asked him for pointers on flying better stunt. He told me "You got to find the ground son !" I see you had that same talk with him. Good stuff Guy,now I'm itching to get some fair weather flying.

I am on the St. Paul side of the Twin Cities. Hopefully we'll have a place you can come join us on your next visit.

I do thankee Doc. Fun for me to make these videos..
Glad to hear you got out to fly. I got out again today.
Yessir...family and chores and work and life sometimes get in the way of the control liner. ~^

Me and the ground got re-aquainted yesterday. Flew today in high winds and came home all in one piece. Flew Viking and Prowler.

You seem to be "on fire"! I hope your enthusiasm lasts. Seriously! Producing vids, prolific flying enthusiasm in conditions most wont even consider a trip to the field....obviously a performer of more than one art.

I bet you could draw (literally) from the knowledge you already have, (with a pencil) a design of your own, with the aerodynamics you read about avidly, and produce something that would propel you further than the purchased, processed offerings you currently fly. Study a few of your faves, combine the numbers. Your artsy spin on looks.

I have been reading your posts quietly since you started here. And it is great to see you having so much fun!

You won't reinvent the wheel, but you have flown enough birds, to know what you are looking for and get to the next level in short order. Drag a blue rubber Nobler anywhere for competition and be sold short or skill in scores. Build a bird of your own with a decnt finish that performs well...and you will climb.

A bit presumptuous on my part but, I am a musician, an artist and an engineer or sorts. Try it out Sugg!

Thanks John....I am having fun and this hobby is challenging me for sure.
One of these days I'd like to do my own plane design but will need much more study on all the numbers. I'm not much of an academic.....but like you say, enthusiastic.
Seems many engineers like to play music. Jugglers too. It is about the process.
