Randy Smith spinners are "most excellent", IMO. The Brodak spinners are only slightly less wonderful, with a bit different shape. If you build the airplane to fit the spinner, the difference is very slight. But I typically
use either Dave Brown or Tru-Turn; either is excellent, but has the single screw in the pointy end and don't look quite as good. Remember that the spinner will probably save your crankshaft at some point, due to...ah, compressibility!
By the way, if you use an "electric finger" a needle nose should have better traction...especially if you use the appropriate starter insert. If you don't use an "electric finger", the needle nose spinner is a knuckle buster and you may come to use harsh words on them. If you can do a "spinner flip", either should work fine.
