I painted my fuel can
« on: June 28, 2025, 06:50:02 AM »
Wanted to do this for a while
. So many fuel jugs with the content markings rubbed off, no idea what the fuel mix is. These markings are clear coated with 2k auto paint and won't rub off. My first time using a metal fuel container too.

Thanks Ken. I was originally going to use the decals on the plane, but couldn't get the red on the decals to  match the red paint on the plane. So I decided to put them on the fuel can.

OK, I see a business opportunity here!!  Painting replica Fuel Cans!! Have you seen what some 1 gallon cans go for?? And then musicians use them to make guitars out of them and such!! K&B, all the Fox blends, SIG had a pretty neat looking i gallon can. Maybe figure out how to do a 'wrap" style cover like they do for cars and trucks. Might be able to do that pretty reasonable and do them to order??
   Type at you later,

That's a great idea Dan. I just don't have the time. I'm slower than a turtle in all I do. 😆 I bet you a sign shop could do it faster. Thanks though! 😃
