I just want to introduce my self here on StuntHangar
« on: October 30, 2010, 05:56:43 PM »
I just want to introduce my self here on StuntHangar.
My name is Joseph Migliaccio (AKA Joe Mig) it is a lot easier to say.
My Dad use to take me to Forest Park flying field in Queens NY when I was around 8 to 9 years old and I flew mostly 1/2 A planes and a trainer ugly stick with a Fox 15, while my brother and Father flew larger 29's and 35'S .
Well I have been out of the circle for the last 36 years and I was thinking I would like to fly U control with the kids or at least my son Lil Joe.  So I built up a kit and used one of my old Cox .049's and  took the kids to the flying field and after a slight crash on take off I had a 22 lap flight.
Yes I got slightly dizzy but I loved it. n~
So now a few weeks later, well you will see some other post's here soon.

Joe:

Welcome back!  Neat fun, isn't it?

Just so you'll know, I've been flying CL, off-and-on, since 1950.  Last week I flew for the first time in several months......and got dizzy!  (But then, I'm 70 years old.)

Stick with it, pal.

Welcome aboard Mig! You should post this on the Open Forum, it's likely that more people will see it there. y1

From one retread to another . . . Welcome back! After a layoff of 35 or so years, I'm back in the circle and having a ball. Get those kids involved, it's a great hobby for them.

I own a ton of R/C equipment, several operable R/C planes, and fly C/L.  What does that say?
Think S.M.A.L.L. y'all and, it's all good, CL, FF and RC!

Hey Joe; Glad to hear you are back flying again. This site is a great place to come after a long day of flying. Since I live in an area where I am the only control line flyer for at least 80 miles, these forums are like a club to me. I have met many of the people on here in person at VSC and other contest's around the country. I came back to control line about 18 years ago, after flying R/C pattern for 25 years. I still fly a little R/C, but after flying control line again, I get a little bored with R/C. There just isn't anything like it. Sounds like you have some great people to fly with.
