FAA ha a phone app to "help" you comply with rules about airport near your flying area. it's junk.
https://www.faa.gov/uas/b4ufly/The app list several airports and helipads near me. They are not on the sectional charts I have. Trust me these residential neighborhoods have not been an airport in 15 to 20 years. I have lived in the same area for 25 years and was not aware of them. The airports are not on the sectional charts that I have. Some of the helipads listed are someones backyard, with mature trees all over them.
Problems without solutions. Very poor. The app gives you a warning and no way to comply.
