I have had a stroke. I can still fly if it gets no worse. Until I get a few more weeks under me I will not know if it will get better. I will let David F. know later if I can still go to the NATS and be pit boss. Sorry for the delays.

Curtis My Mother had a stroke a couple years ago now and she is doing great. Some light numbness in one finger but thats about all. And it was a quick recovery. Shes back at the YMCA swimming 20 laps, and line dancing at 74 yrs young. I'll put you in my prayers for a quick recovery and maybe see you at the nats (if I can make it).

That's bad luck mate,

The important thing to help your recovery is to keep your mind active.

The Doctors will give you guidelines on your physical recovery will need, but your brain has suffered a major event. Don't be easy on it work it like you never had before. Keep it active & challenged.

Hi Curtis,
Sorry to hear about your medical issue. I wish you a speedy and complete recovery! Do what your doctors tell you and don't try to do too much too soon...a stroke is a warning and apparently yours isn't too debilitating right now. Take it easy. You're in my prayers and I'm sure a lot of other folks are praying for you also.

You can beat this! A lot of folks have.

Very sorry to hear that Curtis. My wife had a stroke a year and a half ago so I can relate. A positive attitude and the belief that things will improve go a long way. Physical, occupational and cognitive thearpy can also assist greatly, especially during the first six month after the event. BTW: She is doing great but it does take time.

I pray you have a speedy recovery. Stay positive! My cousin and my brother in law each have had strokes within the past 12 months and have made major improvements. If you can still fly, you've already been blessed.
