Alabama Flying
« on: March 20, 2012, 12:12:03 PM »
We have had really nice flying weather in Huntsville Alabama.  Had a really good flying session Monday.  My LA-5 got in two flights, each flight contained a smooth loop.  This makes this airplane very competitive on the national level.  Ronnie's new airplane looks really good in the air.  Curtis Comer is still the clubs best pilot.  Two electric stunters flew - both worked well.  Some day all stunt will be electric.

By the way Curtis Shipp did have a stroke Sunday.  He is home doing fair. We need to keep him in our prayers.

I flew in Huntsville.  A few years ago.  A guy had speed planes he called the Pink Lady I think?  Tom McDonald.  Went fishing in the creek behind his house with my brother and my dad one time.  Biggest and mostest bluegills ever.  On crickets, if I recall.  Cane poles.

Funny how something can trigger a memory.  Or spark a fantasy...  Have I ever mentioned my week with Jamie Lee Curtis?  Man, what a BLT and an iced tea can do for you if you're with the right person.  Mmm, mmm.

One of my best memories of my 4 years or so of flying control line is watching Curtis Comer fly!!!   It is a sweet dance!  Glad u guys had a great day for flying and my best wishes for Mr Shipp for a speedy recovery!!

Never say "never"  I once said I would never own a digital camera.  I even had my own dark room. I no longer own a film based camera.   LL~
