The First ' X 15's , like the one on the left , had the full hight liner , like the G-15 .
But with DIFFERANT PORTING .
Will measure them up , and see if thats the only differance . tho think the pistons a bit longer .
Could be the holes are the only differance , kill two birds with one stone .
Think Diesel ones'd go like hot cakes . Tho the RV rod has detail differances , circular mateing faces F & R .
Earlier pre 75 RV rods had a oiling ' SLOT ' whereas the later beafier case RVs had the two oil holes .
G 15 rods had a tendancy to let go in the big end , with the two holes , at 24.000 .
Nothing to do with combat flyers planting them and instantaeneous 20.000 + thousand to ZERO on the upstroke .
1969-72 RVD with the slotted big end . Diesel liner taller at top flange - for contra piston .
A 1965 G 15 .
All have timing around 136 / 138 . some are symetrical , as in 138 Trans & Ex.
Some have a indexing hole around 3 or 4 mm under the exhaust .
i think the ' Goodyear ' liner from the first full width Ex lug ( undrilled ) is the fastest ,
at least with the bottom of the Ex Port level with the case & 1.5 mm S.P.I.
Good for 24.000 +,
Ive got stacks of G 15 & X 15 Early P L's Std. & mod , and a few unused yet for the G-15 along with a few of the said Series One Goodyear from 1974 odd .
