I don't get the title, but that's a nice looking crutch.  What engine is that?

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

It's a PA 40 UL.
Google Slender Tender and Tall.
This plane is dedicated to my wife. 6'1" bomb shell.

Why not a tuna pipe? You'd be shocked at how easy they are to deal with. A little more $, but they are a step in the right direction. What design are you building?  H^^ Steve

Set the pipe on the first few flights and you'll toss the tuned muffler, and never look back.
If the airplane can package a tuned pipe there is absolutely no reason to even consider a muffler.  The pipe is better and easier to deal with.  Set the length and you'll never have to change anything except maybe a quarter turn on the needle occassionally.
Use one of Randy's pipes...they're foolproof!

The only reason to even conside a Header muffler is if it's a classic legal airplane or the fuselage simply won't pakage a pipe.
The PA's are the perfect pipe engines.

PS:  Nice crutch...very much the way I build mine...I mount the engine on the bearers then add the center pieces to take any stress out of the mounting lugs/engine bearers.  Looks like that's what you've done.

Yep Randy. Going in with the Pipe fer sure! y1

And yes mount is built sort of like yours. Not sure I will beat Sparky's speed build record.

Stay tuned....

Whose Mustang design are you building?
