the ride is my model A woodie that i have been building the last two years.

Dave,
Sure is nice when two hobbies compliment one another, and do it so well!

Dave; You do fabulous work. Both the plane and the car are gorgeous. Really like the paint scheme on the plane. Thanks for sharing them with us.

2 cool 2 B legal!  What craftsmanship!

Reminds of the Beach Boys "Surfer Girl"--
"...in my woody I will take you everywhere I go..."
Man, does that bring back memories!

I was very pleased to see your Dad last weekend at Alameda.  Maybe see you guys this weekend at the Ted Goyet.

Dave
Before you chopped the top on the "Woody", you should have measured your stunters for fit.  LOL

Thanks for all the comments guys, we were away all weekend and just got back tonight.
Kim; i might make it out this weekend.
and no the car is not stock, it's registered as a 31 ford though!
it was actually a pickup i got from a familly friend and it was in pieces all over his property since the early sixties. we had to actually dig in the area he thought some of it was just to find it all. in about 2000 i chopped the top and built it as a chopped, tubbed, 429 ford powered pickup. and my son drove it to high school part of his senior year. it was a "little" overpowered.
and i could hardly fit in it to drive it so out came the motor and it sat for about 4 years . then two years ago i got the crazy idea to build a woodie out of it, so after some sketches i cut the cab off behind the windshield and took the bed off and here it is. its actually chopped just over 4 inches the truck was chopped 4 inches  and i had to remove a little more when i did the woodie body.
its now powered by a 5.0(302) ford HO computer injected motor.
it actually gets about 20 mpg.
anyway, its my new "stuntwagon".hopefully i can haul it to VSC behind the motorhome one of these days
Dave jr.
BY the way thanks to Pete Cunha for the pictures!!
