Help with hardpoint handle

Hi all.  I want to make my own handle and need a little help with some dimensions.  If anyone can fill them in I would appreciate it. H^^

Grab your old E-Z just and measure it.  Or better yet, contact Carl Shoupe and get a Fancher Handle kit.  Well worth the money.  The biggest factor I see is making the metal peices for the line clips.  DOC Holliday

  Please check my math on this but I think the holes will be too close together at .11875 center to center. I get .0062 between the edges of the holes. .11875 - .11200 = .0062. Or am I wrong here. It would be better to drill all holes .125 and space them .1875. This would leave .0625 between the edges of the holes.

I don't have an old E-Z-Just handle and I want to make my own not buy one.  If anyone has a hardpoint handle that they like, would it be possible to measure it and let me know the size, spacing and amount of holes?  Thank you. H^^

Bill your math is correct. My thinking was that this alum. piece will be clamped between two pieces of wood and as such there should be little load on the holes.and that the closer the holes the finer the adjustment.

Glenn...the holes in the (latest) TED Handles are about .070", and the clips used with it are bent from .055" stainless steel wire. The holes are spaced at about .125" apart, and the edge/cl is .125". I could get closer at work, but this is with dial calipeters (sic). There are 10 holes on each 'arm'. Sorry I couldn't answer your email last night, but that 3:45am tends to get in the way. One of these years, I won't be working anymore. I hope I'm still breathing when that happens.  y1  Steve
