How do you just lose a F-35 fighter?

A stealth fighter goes missing at the same time as the Hurl.....hmmmmmm.

On the other hand, it'll probably show up either on eBay or in the Ukraine.

If it goes to Ukraine they’ll probably send it back

Just like F2D on a bigger scale.

You lose a plane now and again, the cost of realistic training.

They found the crash site and are doing recovery. Evidently something caused a control problem or serious alarm that the pilot thought was real enough to eject. The plane was on auto pilot and seems like it just kept going. All the F35's are grounded for at least 2 days while they investigate what happened.

It was found "2 hours away."  What does that mean regarding distance?  I cannot find anywhere exactly where it was found and how far away it flew before crashing.  I did read that some of these planes can fly long distances on auto pilot before crashing.

Anybody find how far it went?

It crashed in Williamsburg County, South Carolina. Not too many details as they don't want people snooping around.

Somehow, I think the pilot is going to get a briefing from the Captain in "Top Gun I" and will be flying "Rubber Dog Sh** out of Hong Kong" from here on out.
