Post by: Dennis Toth on September 19, 2023, 07:22:21 AM: They found the crash site and are doing recovery. Evidently something caused a control problem or serious alarm that the pilot thought was real enough to eject. The plane was on auto pilot and seems like it just kept going. All the F35's are grounded for at least 2 days while they investigate what happened.

I cannot find anywhere exactly where it was found and how far away it flew before crashing. I did read that some of these planes can fly long distances on auto pilot before crashing.

Anybody find how far it went?
