St Louis - Turkey Shoot Contest - Nov 22nd
« on: November 01, 2015, 01:49:43 PM »
Dan McEntee and myself test flew our Turkey shoot models today at Buder park getting ready for the Turkey Shoot event on Nov 22nd at Buder Park in St Louis. The weather was 65 degrees, sunny and light winds today....doesn't the calendar show Nov 1st?? It will probably be cold in three weeks time but that will be half the challenge.

The event is simple and meant to be fun, take a .36 or smaller powered CL  model and fly 4 different things. I am flying an old CL scale model I put in my garage and got it flying again so if it gets any damage will not be a problem. It didn't fly very good as a CL scale model so now it can break some balloons in a fun event.

1) Fast flight
2) Slow flight
3) Balloon pop
4) Combat

The configuration of the model is not important only that the engine is .36 or smaller, 60' lines and a few other features

Look at our website for more details...

Pictures from last year....Oh yeah it was raining but that didn't stop us from flying!

We have 5 or more club members with models ready to fly on Nov 22nd at the Turkey Shoot

I added some nose art to the Hellcat in Honor of the event..... This is going to be fun!
