Good idea, poorly executed
« on: January 09, 2016, 06:35:15 AM »
Part of the cache' of CL stuff that I acquired/overpaid was a Windy handle......it has the Allen wrench secured to the safety thing....a great idea!
But the thong is a piece of 1/4" rope!

The same concept will work on the "Fancher" type handles, as well as the Kamikazes....
I had never seen it done this way and thought I would pass it along...

Have fun!

Rich I am not sure what I am looking at here.  Is the Allen Wrench supposed to catch on something if the handle slips out of your hand?

Mike

I think that it is just a convenient way to store/keep the Allen ready to use for adjusting line length of the handle. I probably would have snuck the long end of the Allen wrench inside the rope and CA in place instead of the free end as shown

It appears the thickness of the binding wrap is larger than the ID of the eyelet on the handle.  Unless the hex wrench flopping around presents a distraction, it's probably a good idea and an OK execution.

OK, thanks Fred.  I was not sure what Rich was showing...
