To deny the Biden Administration has any significant responsibility for the current price of gas would seemingly require (1) that we are extremely naïve, (2) that we simply bury our head in the sand, or (3) that we are so intent on defending Biden we simply deny facts. Biden campaigned, in part, on his pledge to end fossil fuels; once elected, Kamala Harris publicly declared, “This Administration will do it.”
Is the English language really that difficult to understand!?!
From the News:
“During his first days in office, President Biden signed an executive order that paused new permissions on oil and gas drilling. Thirteen states that rely heavily on oil and gas industries filed a lawsuit and, after a judge blocked the administration’s order, the sale went through in November that netted almost $192 million.”
“Several environmental groups then sued over the sale, saying it was conducted under flawed assumptions.”
“U.S. District Court Judge Rudolph Contreras agreed, saying the lease sale was invalid because an analysis by the Department of the Interior did not fully take into consideration how the leases will impact the climate. His decision effectively cancels 1.7 million acres of leases. Judge Contreras found that the president’s administration used outdated modeling from the prior administration when it looked at the climate-warming impact of the lease sale.”
On a side note: You may recognize that name - Judge Rudolph Contreras presided at the trial of Michael Flynn and accepted Flynn’s guilty plea but was then recused from the trial. Emails reveal he had a friendship with Peter Strzok, the disgraced FBI lawyer who was involved in the prosecution of Flynn. Strzok and his lover, Lisa Page, were thrilled to learn Contreras would preside over the trial and planned a dinner party to bend the Judge’s ear!
And Contreras was also the Presiding Judge of the FISA Court. If you think the “Swamp” is a figment of someone’s imagination, you’re obviously not paying attention!
Federal law (dating to 1980 I believe) requires the Bureau of Land Management to hold quarterly auctions of leases for oil and gas exploration and development. Here in Wyoming, there were no auctions in the first 5 quarters of the Biden Administration. Apparently, a court injunction was necessary to revive those auctions last month.
The Biden Administration and Congress enacted more restrictive limits on methane emissions for new facilities; Biden further issued an Executive Order directing the EPA to develop new, more stringent regulations and to reach existing facilities.
No responsibility!?!

PS: Lord knows, we can't let sage grouse become extinct! Yup, that's the big concern ... or is it?
PSS: Think we'll find anything about "climate change" in that 1980 law?
