Been to Savvannah many times, My dad grew up there. I dont know of any flying there, but there used to be a hobby shop out on,, hmm cant remember the name of the street, its down the road about a mile from my Grandmama's house we walked there many times.
couple sites to see, The Ships of the See Museum, is just off the downtown squares not far from the riverfront, its housed in the William Scarborough house, William Scarborough built the first steam ship to cross the atlantic, just a few years after Fulton built his steam ship. regretably, his ship was built from wood and for some odd reason, no body wanted to ship their goods of family members across the ocean on a wood ship that had to have a fire burning on it,, go figure lol

. There are several Forts of the Era around the war between the states close by, battle grounds, and if you want to make the wifey happy, the Juliet Gordon Lowe house is a museum in her house, she founded the Girl Scouts.
Lots of flying just south of Savanna though I believe around the Warner Robbins area.
