Tribute to AMA.
« on: December 05, 2015, 11:21:30 PM »
Here’s a tribute to AMA on my latest plane. Was bored and fooling around with my plotter figuring out what to do with a trim scheme and came up with this, I think it is funny and sadly true with control line fliers.

  Thanks a lot,

Did you forget your AMA #?  Might be a reason to deny an insurance claim.

If guys took time to read Model you would know what is going on with our AMA.   In the back is an article about education in how it used to be and what we have these days.   As he says remember the days when we sat in one room all day at desks that were lined up.  If you sat up  front in the class room you had to turn around to see what might be happening in the back.   If the people who sold the drones knew what they were selling it might be different.   I think once the manufacturers see that people need educating on the proper use of drones especial y where they can be flown it might bring some new blood to our fields.   I would sit out a flight on the CL circle to let one fly in a safe manner.   I did that when my circle was across the road from the local RC with some of the helicopter pilots.   Wound up in time that a couple started to fly control line until the RC club told them they couldn't do their flying on the circle.   They also shared the frequency when some one needed it, but most times no one was on their frequency.   I mean we had a good thing going until one individual complained to the park department.   Now no CL or helicopters   I have been to the new location the RC club got and only a couple of guys there.  Couldn't talk to them as I was not allowed on their side of the fence and they would not come close enough to talk.    Anyway at the swap meet this last weekend found out most of the regulars of the club fly at a different site.   So I figure if the so called drones can bring in more money, good.   Also maybe might get them to see the other side of modelling.

The covering is Hobby King and comes in red/white - black/white - blue/white  -red/yellow in both 1 inch and 2inch squares.
I have used it for a few years now and Very Very happy with it as it has a super shrink rate and stays tight and it's less than 10 bucks a 5 meter roll " 16 feet guys"...

email me about getting a couple of the pee transfers.

For what it's worth, I agree with Doc.  (Some wisacre will say it isn't worth much, but I couldn't care less.)
