Had OS & Super Tigre in the 70s , and no nitro . Just a bit crankier to start , in winter . One OS 20 would pul a 38 Oz Me 262 Through wingovers on 70 ft of .012 .
And the G-15 ( Mod. ) would pull the ton in the slippery combat model.
for 18 months .
When we tried 10 % & on 60s it'd slipsteam itsef in still air . Like a dog chasing its tail . 24.000 in top . Before the piece of the rod between the oilholes decided otherwise .
Having been into the dirt multitudeinously , 20.000 to ZERO in an instant . you couldnt entirely blame it . Wonder at its future potential though . Gotta few to find out .
ONE THING , = > FITS .
Old iron dungers , nitro requires looser fits . One Ex F/F power G-15 baulks on 10 % . a Ex Joey G-15 baulks on no nitro . fine on 10% . Had to run 5% as a compromise
in ' the New ' 71 Oz ( How did that happen ) Me 262 . Which flys fine , and accurate , on 70 ft of .018 . Though not usually fitted with the G-15s . GP 25s being the usual.
THUS , ' Running In ' was usually a hour on 3 : 1 , before , if you were a nitro man , starting to add nitro .
Hence the BAKE the P/L and LAP , for nitro speed injuns , as per Aldrich .
Where us peasants could just cut a few bits off , and spend our time running them in , with satisfactory results .
The Moral of This Story is olde Nitro Burners may be a bit loose to run well on straight methanol satisfactorally .
Tho theres plenty of N.i.B. Super Tigres and OSes about , which should be highly ameniable to it. Tho wont swing quite as much prop. perhaps .
Further , was said ENYA C.R. was NITRO & it was necesary , The Head would usually be closer , for optimum results , no Nitro . at least in comparison to nitro .

Adios .
