Du-Bro heavy black nylon Kwik-links anyone use them?

I'm setting up the control linkage on my S1 electric Ringmaster. I have a carbon fiber pushrod with the threaded titanium 4/40 insert. I want to be able to change to move the pushrod to different length holes in the tail horn to trim the control sensitivity. I am looking at a couple connectors for the tail horn end, one being the Gold Sylvan the other being the  Du-Bro heavy black nylon Safety Kwik-links.

The Du-Bro fits the tail horn nicely and screws very securely to the rod end. Since there are no flaps to worry about alignment I can screw the link on quite far and still use a jam nut (not sure if this does anything with the nylon fittings but makes me feel good). The link looks very robust I am wondering if anyone has used this on the 25 size ships and has there been any issues with it pulling off or shearing the pin?

I have used them;no problem, you can wrap them with fine wrapping wire to keep them from opening up and releasing the control horn.

Thanks for the reply, the Safety Kwik link is the one I was referring to with the built-in lock. Seems like a very strong link.

You can buy the sliding lock part and use them on any link with a metal pin. I use them but also add a piece of fuel line over the link as a back up.

Used those on 3 electric 60-size ships, no problems so far.

I've never been confident about kwick links as I have seen too many fail. If you were going to use a DuBro Heavy Duty Ball Link instead that would certainly be better as they never fail. As long as you titanium threaded rod is 4-40 you can thread the ball link onto the rod end. Your idea of using a jam nut is good since that will stop any possibility of the ball link turning under use. If the 4-40 bolt in the ball link is too large for the upright horn just drill out the hole in the horn and you will be good to go. Light weight, easy to adjust and it will never fail in use!

I remember talking to Tom Morris about those; he did not like them because the threaded part tends to open up and lets go of the pushrod. I thought you were talking about the black (nylon) ones, they hold up better, I believe.
