There are some of us that get dizzy flying or have problems keeping up with a plane. I built the plane for the Ringngmaster marathon and for me as I wanted to try and and get as many take off and landings as my age. I think it would work for other people, especially new comers.
These are pic of Pat Kings solid wing Ringmaster Jr.
I also have a profile Gaurdian set up with one of the new car radios.
Nice planes, John. I'm sure they fly as good as they look.
When I was trying out ways to get kids lined up to try flying I found an RC car outfit for ~$27. It had access to off the wall frequencies that were locked in between a Tx and the Rx. It worked very well to kill the fuel whenever you wanted. It wasn't hard to get a kid, mostly boys, involved, at least briefly. We didn't get many local kids to join in, but I understand other areas had better luck.
Just pick the cheapest RC set. The trainer outfit was a Li'l Hacker, a half A combat plane. The one boy, one of the RC pilots kids, did quite well in just a couple of flights.
This still requires at least 2 adults.
Happy New Year.
