DIY engine display stand?
« on: October 19, 2020, 05:37:12 PM »
Let's see some ideas for engine display stand. I'm a little OCD and tired of standing them upright just to have them fall over  <=

for my collection in my display case...where they'll sit until one at a time they get installed in each new build. Until I burn out on this hobby again. I haven't been gun ho for nearly a decade and a half and back then it was RC. I"ve got about 20 engines so that should keep me busy for a good while

The wire stand is easy to make and additional bends in the wire can be made to fit into the mounting holes....Gene

Put them in a box and hide them in a dark corner.  If you don't, they grow like mushrooms, and soon you have over a 100 of the darn things. LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~

lol. Many are my late father's. After he passed we found a stash just as you are describing. My brother and I now refer to it as 'shopping' when we go grab some of dad's stuff for our next project. No need to go to hobby store :)

There's no one around here to look at my engines.  My wife doesn't care, and I've seen all of them.

So, they live in a couple of shoe boxes, except the ones on test stands.  They are stored in a cardboard box in a corner.
89 years, but still going (sort of)
