Help!!!
 Attached is a photo my mother found. It is my father at the contest where he won his first trophy, September 1954. Can anyone identify the plane? If we get that far can anyone tell me if plans (or kits) are still available? He did tell me that he used a Smoothie for slow combat, but I don't think this is it.

I know at some point he had a Yak 9 and a Super clown or Circus Prince. i don't want to ask him because I'd like to build whatever it is and give it to him.Whether we fly it or not doesn't matter.

Consolidated Jubilee?

I don't think it is a Jubilee, look at the fuse between the TE and stab. We need someone from that era to chime in

Well, I "think" that was my era!  I finally soloed a complete flight that ran the tank dry in 1951, after over a year of trying to run a couple of sparkies I started out on, and never got a full lap out of (never knew what the retarded spark meant as far as operating with normal advance). 

I've never quit the hobby, just taken breaks when my education, or child-rearing, or my career, made serious demands on my spare time.  And I only vaguely recall any model(s) with fillets/gussets like that one has on it.

Really don't know but would guess it is a Jubilee without the fixed flaps and gussets added.

Id have to agree.. same rudder and stabilizer thru the verticle stab.. just  some modifications...

I checked Barry Baxter's list. The Jubilee is from 1955, the picture is dated September 1954. It is in my grandmother's handwriting,she was always good about dating pics soon after they were taken. I am leaning towards one of the PDQ airplanes. Looks to have at least 32" ws with a 10" chord. Anyone care to take a stab at the powerplant?

I don't think it's PDQ - their product line was pretty short and pretty well documented.

It looks a little small to be the 45" span Jubilee, but I still think it is Consolidated - I think I picked the wrong one before.  How about (ta da) a "Jumping Jack" I cannot produce a pix.  Anyone have any old mag ads?

My father might have built from scratch, although I would guess amember of the Avon Propbusters would have helped. I guess if all else fails I'll ask him if he remembers this plane.
