Date and location of picture
« on: January 11, 2010, 09:00:51 PM »
I'm trying to "date and place" some pictures my dad sent to me back in the 70s. The pictures were of Les McDonald's Stiletto and Dave Platt's Duellist. (which according to my dad was its "new debut.") Dad is no longer here. Les's recent series of articles on the Stiletto reminded me that I had these photos. The Duellist picture was on the same roll of film as the Stiletto pictures.

If that's the 660, he won the world champs in 76  with it and it was featured in American Modeler in 77. D>K
I tried to clean up the stilleto pix, but still cant tell for sure. Maybe Les will enlighten here...

Hey Norm,

Those are neat pictures.  Hope ya'll are doing OK.  We need to get together and do some flying some time.  Maybe this cold weather will get out of here soon!  Tell Logan and Daang that Shannon and I said hi.

I dropped in the mail, an hour ago...Enhanced (best as possible) 8X10s to Les...From the pictures I posted, he thinks it might be not be his 660. (he needs to see the flaps) Anyway The pictures I sent him might help me date and place these forgotten photos of mine. H^^
