Cutting foam wings

I was watching part of Bob Hunts balsa moulding video and was curious where to purchase the "cutter" or how to make the tool?

Thats it! Thats where I bought my setup.

My bow is a 4" x 5" bar made from two sides of 1/4" luan ply with solid ends and spacers so it is about 1-1/8" thick.  Has lightening holes like Hunt's.  The ends are 3/16" music wire rod set at an angle so the wire is put on in tension like an archery bow.

I use a 24V-5 Amp utility  bench power supply and use the constant current mode.

Wire is .020" stainless safety wire--dont use nichrome--it stretches when hot.

I'll post a pix later.  The bow is suspended over the flat table by a pulley and weight system so it is neutra and will stay in any position.

I use another smaller bow to cut the blanks with a set of vertical guides with metal ruler edges.

One of the secrets is to make the templates VERY smooth.  I sand and then polish mine and apply a litle parafin prior to cutting.  Any roughness causes the wire to hang-up and makes ruts in the core.
