Control Line will again be part of the Maine Jet Rally on Sept 4,5,6,and7 at the Sanford, Maine Municipal Airport.
www.mainejetrally.com . The Rally will have RC Jets, RC car races, RC Helis and Control Line.
The Control Line area will have two 90' radius circles for general flying for the four days with a sanctioned GX 75mph slow combat meet on Saturday.
Full scale aerobatics and RC demos are scheduled for Sat and Sun afternoon with RC night flying performances on Sat evening. Full scale WWII fighter static displays are in negotiations, "and more".
Registration for flyers and drivers is $15 per day except for the Jet flyers whose fee is $50 pre registration and $75 on site inclusive of the four days.. One can sign up on rcflightdeck.com .
Last year drew 15,000 spectators with 200 registered pilots and drivers. The C/L flying was a hit with everyone. Some of the people we spoke to are coming back just to see the Combat. Who needs a $10,000 Jet model to have fun!!
