I left at 12:00 so I dont have them, but I will be there Wednesday morning and get them from Lampione. I judged beginner and intermediate so I can tell you who won those events.

Beginner- 1 st Place - Frank Carbone ( only pilot in beginner )

Intermediate went to Tom Cappadanno

If Irecall....
Winfred won Expert
"Champione" took a well deserved second in Expert
Rich Giacobone flew his yellow Mustang to third

Advanced Saw Neal Beakman win, with me in second and Steve MacBride in third....

Mike Chiodo won ARF

The Joe Ortiz Fly-Off was won by Neal...

Jim Borelli won the Pilot's Choice award...

Perfect air...a great day....although I do miss the car fires that used to happen when Joe ran the event....

So wonderful to see pictures of my roots. I can almost see Jose Modesto,Big Jim, Andy Lee, Bill Simons, Bob Hunt, Bob "Champione", Vic Macaluso, Gene Schaeffer, all standing around. What a wonderful place. Flushing Meadows was the Harvard University for stunt flyers. It influenced my model aviation direction to this very day.

Congrats on taking the gold! I'm sorry i missed you Pete called me about 12:30-1:00 Saturday night to tell me he was sick and we couldn't make it. But since i was sleeping over my sisters house she drove me through. I got there about 2. She was in a rush so i was only there for a good 5 min.
