CNC Project goodie

Received an email with a few specials from a company I buy electronic stuff from once in a while. What caught my attention is this shaft coupler..

http://www.mpja.com/productview.asp?product=16825+HD

If you are thinking about doing anything with stepper motors these things are invaluable and the price is right.

Bob;

   Thanks for the link. My soldering station bit the dust this week-end. I guess after 20+ yrs. it had a right to. I searched the link and found a more than suitable replacement for it. It is temperature controlled and at $39+ it is a steal. I will be calling them in the morning. Thanks again, I owe you one.

Leester;

  I can't even find that number?

15140TL   $34.95/1  Temp. control
15141TL   $49.95/1  Digital control

  Either way it's a good deal.

EDIT----Went back to look again, it is ZD 929 C, also 15845TL--------$46.95/1.  Still a good deal.   #^

Yep, MPJA is a pretty good company to deal with, mostly buy power supplies. I can get the exact same supply for $14.00 I was paying over $50.00 for from DigiKey. They also have variacs if you want to build a foam cutter, although I don't reccommend using a variac without an isolation transformer. To do it right they offer several high amprage variable DC supplies. More expensive but lotts safer.

Thanks Bob!
I don't need anything right now, but to have the knowlege of their site will prove valuable later on.  I just added them to my "favorites" page.
Blessings,
