Clown racer lost at the Brodak Flyin
« on: June 16, 2012, 10:00:38 PM »
Tonight while packing the van Dan Banjock noticed he is missing his clown racer. The airplane has orange wings and a black fuselage. Power is a OS LA .15. The model is well worn. If anyone has seen it or picked it up by accident please let me know.

Thanks, Mike

Mike, the last I saw the plane was on Friday evening. The plane was leaning against the hedges that run perpendicular to the small garage door. I assume all the planes that were inside the garage were moved out to make room for the food prep. I thought it was quite odd that his plane was there as it was all the way at the end almost directly behind the gazebo like structure the awards pictures are taken in. Ken

Thanks to all that took the time to look through their things in case they picked it up by accident.

Will Davis found it in his truck. Accidentally picked it up in the dark after flying or so he says. :P

Hey Will:

Make sure you dispose of it properly.

And don't forget to sanitize your van later..... LL~

Heck I think we need three more guys like Dan running around Brodaks. He keeps going and going and going.

We pulled out one day right at dark and he was trying to get one of his jets started.
I was beat at the end of each day. I just wanted to eat, shower, and find a pillow so I had the energy to go the next day.  ~^

You're lucky!  I volunteered to help start the jet.  Pumped that tire pump like a maniac and the thing wouldn't start.  Good entertainment for the viewers who were apparently taking bets on when I would drop from exhaustion.

Of course, the next night it started right up....

Tire pump! I am all for nostalgia and stuff, but for $25 you can get a portable air tank, put a blow nozzle on the end of the hose and then just push a button to get air flowing into the engine. If it don't start before you run out of air in the portable tank, it wasn't gonna start with a tire pump, and the pit crew has a greatly reduced chance of cardiac arrest!

If you get a portable air can, might as well fly electric.
