Chinese 3/32nd @#$%&

Been working on my ARC Pathfinder and decided I wasn't real happy with the horns. Some kind of corroded white metal...Anyway I order some real US horns from the Randy man. Guess what? (you already know, I'll bet...har, har!)
3/32nd of an inch is .0937. Chinese 3/32 of an inch is .0999 or something. So I'm not going to rip it's heart out to replace the BC to flap pushrod.

Does anyone know the mm equivalent of .099 so I can drill out the horn?

 Better yet Ward-O, drill'er out and use a ball link instead of a clevis.

.099" is equal to 2.5146 millimeters.

2.5mm / (25.4 mm/inch) = 0.0984 inches.

It's gotta be 2.5mm.  Music wire seems to run a bit big, sometimes, so if the wire is nominally 2.5mm it may actually be 0.099".  Fortunately drills usually drill a bit bigger than their rated size, so a 2.5mm should work.

Can you open up the hole with a jeweler's rat-tail file?

Ward, if you are unhappy with the product, let Brodak know.  They are good people and service oriented.

Checking over my new P40, I measured the horns and also came up with .099.  My many years in manufacturing made me realize they used 2.5 mm coated wire.

Harbor Freight has Metric drill bits, loose in package so mike them to be sure the right one is grabbed!
 Decent enough quality for most stuff.

Take in a stange fastener and they'll ID it and have some in stock. 

I wouldn't worry about that 3rd decimal accurarcy stuff, unless you're fitting a piston.

Why dril out the horn if using ball links?  I have been tapping mine for what ever machine screw the ball link has.  Using sockets heads screwed into the horn and a locking nut makes for a solid connection.

The pushrod coming off the BC had a 90 degree bend at the flap horn. Didn't want to make a MaGilla  out of this thing so a 10 minute trip to ACE is the place and 3 bucks for a # 40 (Chinese 3/32nd) drill and I'm back in business. Yes Doc, the elevator horn will be a threaded ball link!
