Canopy Business
« on: May 31, 2011, 04:49:42 PM »
Thanks to Mrs. Estelle Sawyer, I received all of the late Bill Sawyer's canopy business this past Saturday.  Plenty of plastic stock, vacuforming machine, molds, shipping boxes, etc., and will be getting things together soon, hopefully.  I will have to get the temps and such down before I will be able to supply new canopies.

I am undergoing a few problems since my hospital release so things are a bit slow, but I will give more news as it is available.  no "name" for the business as of yet...........

Thanks
Bill

At first I liked "Big Bear's Canopies", but there was a combat business with "Bear". Maybe "Little Canopies" is better. Maybe someone will call and ask for a quote to put a canopy over their RV!   Ha!

Good Luck Bill!

" Malcomb Hoods " were the full size ones fitted to P-51 Bs and P-47 Razorbacks , the ' Clear View ' ones .

So if you got the thing going nicely , you could call them ' Clear View hoods ' or something equally confusing . <=

Me?? From the hospital??  That what you mean?  If so, yeah they did let me go.  The "hospitalist" who was on duty when I did get discharged was not real happy to do it, but.........  Left about 1 1/2 pints low.

"Canopies 'R' I"?

I'm glad you got Bill Sawyer's canopy supplies, I'm sure he'd have wanted that I don't know about his leather fillet stuff, however.

Bill had some kits and a lot of balsa, so I hope they can be sold to benefit Bill's widow.

Get well, Little Bill. I mean it.

Best,

L.
