Thanks, Elwyn, for all the photos; otherwise we would all have to wait til the magazine come out with the photos and some of the results.  Thanks again!

I really like Clancy's design with the Utronics.  How did it fly?

Clancy designed that plane after last years JYW's. Wish I could have been part of this team. Let us know how it flys.

Elwyn,

Thanks for some great photos. They are really appreciated since I couldn't be there. We love a copy of the disc when you put it all together.
Send me an "E" Mail, rlampione@verizon.net. Let me know what the cost is.

A few JYW pics. Not many action shots due to the fading light.

A few more. The U-tronics plane acted like it had a tired motor. Level flight, touch and go's and a little taxiing was all it managed. It had to have the longest flight of all the JYW planes.

The results aren't in yet. I think Joe crashed his JYW airplane during the square loops. Dan crashed our airplane while prop hanging. The airplanes pretty much do the entire pattern anymore.....

There were quite a few airplanes that flew very well!

Thanks for the pictures Elwyn.

Thank you Elwyn for keeping those of us unable to make it in the loop with the action.  Frank did not tell me that he was going to start using a pipe this year.  He is always raising the bar.......

It's a variable zoom lens and I never pay much attention to the settings. The camera specs says the lens goes from 24-840mm (35X optical zoom)but if you look at the specs on a photo using full zoom it says 150mm so I'm not sure how to interpret that. I would guess I'm probably using 200- 500 most of the time with the full zoom on occasion.. Using the full zoom on something moving can get a bit dicey.

Go for it.   I have seen some strange stuff published over the years.  I think Flying Models is the only mag that hardly missed and issue with a control line plane of some kind.   H^^
