Sneak Peek of Imitation Horizontal tail feathers
« on: December 10, 2017, 04:29:35 PM »
There is some additional material that I need to start the Imitation test build on the wing and fuselage but I had the laser cut parts for the tail section so thought I would build that.  When Eric Rule returns from vacation on the 19th, I will have him send me the laser cut parts I need to continue the build.

In the meantime, here are some pictures of the stab and elevator construction.

The stab thickness is 3/8".  Everything fit great during the test build.  The framework sticks that form the leading and trailing edges of the stab and elevator are 3/8" x 1/2".  The ribs are 1/4" x 3/8" stock.  All this is included in the kit.    It is easy to frame these parts right over the plan.
