Brodak 40 loose needle valve
« on: September 14, 2020, 12:03:56 PM »
I'm starting the break-in of my Brodak 40. With the needle valve open enough for a 2 stroke run, it's loose in the spray bar. How do I get it to be a firmer friction fit ? It's wobbling about a bit at the moment.

There is a collet on the spray bar that allows one to adjust how much torque (rotational friction) it takes to turn the NV.  Is that what you are talking about?

Or----------

Is the spray bar loose in the engine case?

BTW - the break in ought to start with fast 4 cycle runs, small prop (9-4) to not load the motor.

Thanks Jim, I didn't know about the adjustable collet. I'll try it out. Cheers, Colin.
