Think he's serious???  If this one is anything like the last two, it will be a superb airplane.  Good luck Brett.

This all presumes I don't "accidentally" run over it with my car, or arrange for a safe to inexplicably fall on it. Had you asked me yesterday morning, I would have been all for it.

I just read that there’ll be a “Buck Moon eclipse” July 5.  Those guys may be getting the publicity now, but it’s the Jive Combat Team that has the heavenly bodies.

Well, it's like the OP said, he's spraying clear, that's why you can't see it!  I'll bet it's the really expensive, good, really clear stuff too! That's why he's wearing those special glasses so he can see it!

It certainly had nothing at all to do with Uncle Jimby not wanting to get unremovable overspray off his $700 phone. I assure you that *lots* of paint came out of that gun shortly before. It was so bad, Jm couldn't even watch...

     It was indeed shockingly expensive.

1. A strong draft from the fan blowing to dry the paint dislodges the foam cooler
2. No longer wedged in place the back pack tumbles to the floor
3. More Item cascade down as each item dislodges the next
4. With nothing to prop them against the shelf the ladders fall to the right
5. The box no longer propped up on the shelf Follows everything else to the ground
6. Now that the hefty box is not longer acting as a backstop, all of the items on the top shelf destabilize
7. As the items on the top shelf try to find a new equilibrium the center of gravity of the rubbermaid shelf changes and causes the shelf to topple over crushing the airplane.  VD~ VD~ VD~ VD~ ;D ;D ;D LoL I could not resist  ;D

Can I finally stop holding my breath?

Ive been watching this build for a little while looks better and better each time.

Nats clock is ticking. I hope you commit to flying it and not go back to the old one for the contest.

Hmmm you have Uncle Jimby awfully closeby... great advice being shared no doubt.

1st flights today.  Pretty much trimmed out by 10:48am.  Would have been sooner except Dennis Nunes (the 2nd member of the West Coast/California NATS team was flying, as well.  Both Brett and Dennis were looking good despite typical Napa air.  Notice how I blacked out their faces to protect the innocent!

Oh no, nothing like that.   I gave her some time off to do a photoshoot in Milan for fashion week.  If nothing else, the airplane won't fit in the back seat of either the Bentley or the Rolls.  I will just toss the airplane, and the airplanes of my entourage, in the back of the G5, ask one of the girls to watch it for me.

Hi Brett
Just wondering ,it looks like you have full length flaps on this one if I'm no mistaken. If so have  you find any difference in performance between the Old and the new flap sizes?

Also wondering - They also appear to be a higher percentage of chord at the tips.

Ken

The previous airplane also has full-span flaps and the chord is the same on the inboard and 1/16 wider on the outboard. It an interesting optical illusion, probably because the paint pattern is different, with the blue part wider and the extra bold font weight.

Jim says the cornering is much cleaner. It feels about the same as the last two to me, to be honest I forgot a few times that it was a different new airplane and just started driving it into corners like the old one.

I do have a dilemma, this is the first time in decades I have had this many functional airplanes, so I don’t have any place to hang them all up.

Eyes are playing tricks, within .020" of the other airplane. It's pretty much the same thing, except the paint is not falling off of this one.

You might be hearing it in the Hampton Inn on Monday morning, too, I am getting pretty tired.

It has a *much* better starting point than the last one, because the paint is mostly much smoother than the old one, and, I was pretty determined to put on a double-dose of clear, just to make sure there is some left 15 years from now when I am *74*, if I make it that far.

If that’s the paint I think it is, you’re not going to shine it by hand. Get the official PTG rig, as used by the JCT.

It does fine by hand, but I have mostly been using a banjo grinder and a positive mental outlook. Plus, I make no pretense of being as good (morally, physically, or mentally) as either PTG or any member of the Jive Combat Team. I just don't have what it takes.
