« on: March 19, 2012, 08:49:00 AM »
These were taken at our club field in New Orleans.  The girl is the daughter of one of our club members.  The plane has a wingspan of 108".  She is about 5'2" and she can fly the heck out of this thing. It uses FOX 35's for power. It takes 2 1/2 laps to get it airborne.  I wonder how it handles doing the pattern?

Great observation Wayne.  She actually uses a dolly to take off with and when she gets ready to land she belly lands it in the grass....

Mike,
A stunt B24 with a couple of Saito 40A's would be smoking. Just watch that aspect ratio, don't over do it!

Gene we do have a nice flying field in New Orleans.  FEMA ruined it after KATRINA by parking their heavy equipment there.  The whole field had to be redone.  There are two paved circles, a 70' and a 60' plus there are two grass fields.  This is in City Park.  That flying field has been there since the 50's.  Our club does all the maintainence and in return they let us put up a gate....

I noticed in the post over on Stuka Stunt that it's actually a twin, running only two engines. Still really neat though, did she build it too?

I have had the Hobby Helpers plans for a C/L (full fuselage) model that used (4) .19s.  Have thought many times about making a stunter out of one.  Has a 70"+ W.S. and looks pretty scale.

Hi PJ,

With my present situation (recovering from Chemo), it might be a bit much.  Once I get back to "normal" it shouldn't be a problem.  For years I was a competitor in the 242 lb. class of power lifting.  Then the injuries caught up with me.......... ;D (plus I don't think a diet would get me back to 242 lbs! LL~ LL~ )

Yes its a profile.
Uses two Fox 35's at inboard positions, outboards are dummy engines.
Plane was built by Mike Kottemann, his daughter Angelena is the pilot.
