See, this isn't racing. They aren't racing anyone (except a clock). Racing required more than one racer on the course at once.  8)

Neat stuff Schultzie, but the real racers run at Reno. ;D

Yeah, racing,, hmm well It is by strictest sense racing, and its pretty dang exciting stuff too,, actually though I suppose some perspective could be that its more like a speed trial, but then Rally cars are doing the same basic thing, most times they are staged out some distance apart so they dont actually battle fender to fender,, and they call that racing,,,

regardless of what you call it, its pretty cool stuff, and takes some nerves and serious skill to do. My dad doesnt think its racing either,, Personally I dont care much what you call it, its fun to watch, MUCH better than General hospital, or the teen soap operas,, and I can get Linda to watch the red bull air races with me,, so its all good
For years the rat race had me going around in circles, Now I do it for fun!

See, this is what happens when I guy gets laid off. Happened to me last December. You start watching day time TV and it eats your brain.

NO NO NO, its the girls, they watch it, but since I build in the living room, and the tv is in the living room, I cant find enough racing to record to override the soap operas,, sigh,, so I am subjected to them,,
I will say,, some of the women on the soaps, are ,, uh,, well they make it worth watching, at least with the volume turned down,, y1

My trip to Cleveland right after the Brodak event was cancelled...so I turned east and got home around 8:00 Saturday.
Edy and I got on the bike and rode down to Battery Park City to watch.....VERY HOT....but it was neat seeing and hearing them!
Almost as entertaining were all the cop types...Coast Guard, US Navy, NYPD, NYFD, Homeland Security, NJ Sheriffs, etc trying to herd the pleasure boaters and keep them from being run over by the various ferry boats....
Cool stuff!

These planes are incredable, as are the pilots. Watched from liberty park. Reno has planes racing each other directly. But they dont have to fly knife edge around some pylons, and perfectly horizontal through others at an exact height or pull nearly as many G's. Plus liberty park is only 1/2 hour away.

Watched some of that Redbull racing on the telly and was astounded that those guys flew like that.  Just so many feet above the water and going full bore.  Talk about hand eye cordination.  I would probably wipe out the pylons.  Anytime you run a course as an individual or as a group it is racing if there is a watch timing you.
