lazer cut burns
« on: March 17, 2010, 11:49:50 AM »
I am wanting to build a control line plane with a transparent silkspan finish.  I have purchased a lazer cut kit from Brodak.  Is there any way of removing the dark brown burn marks from cutting the kit with a lazer other than sanding each piece?  Thanks,  Dudley Lang

Dudley,
Give sanding a try. It really comes off easily. I just went through the same thing. Actually framed the whole plan and with 320 paper had it cleaned up in no time.

Rub a little Clorox bleach on it.

It comes off with very little effort using sand paper.
