now that i think about it,it kinda looks like a Mohawk for planes

Take a look at the the Wooleyman's color for that stunt job. That color looks more like it belongs on a double dipped Mint ice cream cone, instead of a stunt model.
Perhaps the "COOL MINT COLOR" was chosen to take the judges minds off the 110 degree heat radiating off the hot asphalt run way tarmac.
Humm?
An interesting gamesmanship plan ploy....I noticed that Don Bamrick also used those minty-wooley-wuzzie colored paint for his beautiful models...
Hey....
Any thing from bold Panty-pink to grabber green..whatever punches your stuntgrunt buttons n' bows.
Speaking of Panty Pink! Waaaaaay back...in the early days, one of our most celebrated ICONs of stunt...built this BEAUTIFUL HOT DAY-GLOW HOT RED NEON stunter. One day I was driving down 1-5 toward Southcenter when I looked over to the Space Center Parking lot and saw this flash of NEON RED stunter goin' round n round..From that distance...one could not make out the airplane or the flyer--BUT THAT NEON FLASH OF RED...WAS CLEARLY VISIBLE.
However...with in less than a few months...his AWESOME HOT RED...was not LIGHT PROOF and had faded to a WUZZIE-PANTY PINK COLOR! However being the fun competitior that he is...he took all the razzzin n' jazzin...and continued his winning ways.
Talk about gettin' even.
