ARC Ringmasters

This is marketing research and I need some feedback from you all.  I built four Ringmasters to sell at the Southeastern Model Show in Perry, GA this year.  All four sold within minutes of the opening bell.  They were assembled, covered with polyspan, and doped to the point where they were ready for painting.  I probably could have sold 20 more had I built them.

I WILL NOT get into the kitting business.  That is expertise that is much better done by Dee Rice and Pat Johnson and Eric Rule and others who have the laser cutters to do this kind of work..  I build my Ringmasters from scratch and the ones I sold at the show weighed from 15 to 17 ounces without the tank and motor.  The wire landing gear was installed but no wheels.

I have been retired for a few years and have some time to do this so what I thought I would do is build some Ringmasters that I could ship as an Almost Ready to Cover plane.  What I will do is ship the finished fuselage, the elevator and stab already hinged, the rudder, and the assembled wing with the bell crank and pushrod installed and the lead outs finished.  This way I can get it in a shippable box.  I will sand the airframe smooth and apply a couple of coats of nitrate dope and you can cover the wing in whatever material you desire.  This would be on a custom order basis.  I do not want to make a large number of these and have to store them somewhere.  I would probably keep a couple in stock and take orders for the majority of them.

These planes are not going to be bought by the seasoned expert flyers but there seemed to be a need for them by dads buying them for their kids or old retreads getting back into the hobby and people who have nostalgia for the plane.

I will not do this if there is no market for it so I am depending upon you to let me know if you would be interested in having this available to you.

Thank you
