Any ENYA experts out there?
« on: January 22, 2024, 04:35:59 PM »

While sorting out some stuff in my hanger, I came across some boxes of engines that I probably packed in the late 90s when I still lived in PA. Many different brands that I recognized but a few that I never hear of. What caught my eye was a large box labeled “ENYA”.
Opening it, I was amazed at the number of engine packed away. Here are a few examples:
Red Head 19, appears very old, four bolt head.
Red Head 29,    “      “     “     “      “      “     “
29 model 5002, four bolt head, streamlined exhaust.
36, model 5001, four bolt head.
35 II, model 6001.
45 plain bearing, model 6001 (2). I ran one – runs beautifully.
60  appears very old, S/N 7684, six bolt front cover.
63      “          “     “   S/N 6259,   “     “      “        “
15 Diesel
15D Diesel
.08 front intake.
.06 rear intake.
.049, looks like a Wasp .049

Many more, used and new-in-box, C/L and R/C, both two and four cycle.
I would like to catalog and learn more about these engines.
Is there any source that will yield more information?

THANKS for any help,
Bob Z.

Bob, over on FB there is a page for model engine collectors old and new. The 19 you have is the first run of the 19's. The big 60 is the Super Typhoon and is a beast. Hopefully you have the exhaust header that goes with it.

It wasn't that you could and others couldn't, its that you did and others didn't.

By far the best information will be at:

https://sceptreflight.com/Model%20Engine%20Tests/Index.html

Also Adrian Duncan has a few ENYA articles on his marvelous web site at:

The most complete listing of everything Enya has to be Bob Allan's Enya Engine Compendium which lists all descriptions by date of introduction to the market. Further, there are many footnotes listing things such as various screw sizes for almost all Enyas.
