Almost Ready for VSC
« on: March 06, 2011, 01:49:17 PM »
Well the engine has been run and installed.  The postal scales says it weighs 42 ounces.  Has a warp in one wing panel that I am still working on, but it should fly upright.

Way cool, Doc! I love the swept wing look, just not brave enough to do one myself. Nice appearing paint job too. I can't see in the pics, but where do the leadouts exit the wing?

Front leading edge at the tip.  The bell crank is mounted at the trailing edge in the center section.  I just hope it flies as well as it's little brother, The Sweet Sweep.   H^^

GREAT GREAT GREAT!  I never heard of the King Sweep until your build thread.  Designs like this are some of the best things about Classic & OTS.  Doc, you done good!

Well if it wasn't freezing or snowing or raining or wind blowing or me being lazy, I would have a flight report.  Probably first flights in Tuscon. H^^

It is not silk,  it is Poly-Span from CLC.  Many, many coats of clear dope. H^^

As usual Doc, Lookin good!

You seem to have what I have, the nonstop urge to build airplanes!
But where the heck are we going to put all of them?

This was not a problem when I was young. About the time one was finished it would be needed to replace the one that was just finished off! LL~
