Well the engine has been run and installed. The postal scales says it weighs 42 ounces. Has a warp in one wing panel that I am still working on, but it should fly upright.
-
WOW john....really cool.
-
Nice , clean model John. I really like the simple finish, definitely a classic.

Love to see classic planes!! This one is exceptional !!! Looks great
-
Way cool, Doc! I love the swept wing look, just not brave enough to do one myself. Nice appearing paint job too. I can't see in the pics, but where do the leadouts exit the wing?
-
Front leading edge at the tip. The bell crank is mounted at the trailing edge in the center section. I just hope it flies as well as it's little brother, The Sweet Sweep. H^^
-
GREAT GREAT GREAT! I never heard of the King Sweep until your build thread. Designs like this are some of the best things about Classic & OTS. Doc, you done good!
-
Neat plane Doc, hope it flies a good as it looks. Not long until VSC. Looks like weather should be nice. Jack
-
Hey Doc,
That's one great looking airplane. What are you using for power? ..............TDurrill H^^
-
I'm waiting for the flight report.
-
Well if it wasn't freezing or snowing or raining or wind blowing or me being lazy, I would have a flight report. Probably first flights in Tuscon. H^^
-
Thats a beauty Doc; Looks like both of your new ones are covered with silk. Nice work.
-
It is not silk, it is Poly-Span from CLC. Many, many coats of clear dope. H^^
-
HI Doc,
Glad to see this one "up and running"! Something about the old planes that I just love........ ;D
Should be a fine flying model!

As usual Doc, Lookin good!
You seem to have what I have, the nonstop urge to build airplanes!
But where the heck are we going to put all of them?
This was not a problem when I was young. About the time one was finished it would be needed to replace the one that was just finished off! LL~

Crashes less than he used to do.
