Hi Brent

There are a multitude of reasons.  The only reason I posted this was because of my past involvement of providing kits and offering a building service which I thoroughly enjoyed in past years which I will no longer be doing.  Otherwise , there was no significance in a post to mention it.  I have some other interests that I wish to pursue also.

GEEEEZE Mike. This is getting old. Why do you insist in putting so much drama into this hobby? Go sand something and you'll feel better later.

I've got like 4 major hobbies, I come and go in all of them. I understand about making choices for the time allowed but life is pretty good if your biggest problem is deciding how to have fun.

You will be back.  In the short time I have been around, I think you said that twice or maybe three times.

I don't believe you.

Hi Rusty,

You are correct, I have said it before, however since then there have been developments in my life I will not share on here that have led me to this decision.

Bill,

I was simply trying to be courteous since I had Offered a service to the hobby by producing kits and a building service.  There was no drama intended.   I guess I should have just kept my mouth shut and said nothing.  My apologies to everyone for trying to be nice.

I stand by my original statement and offer this advice:  Keep (1) hot rock handle and lines, (1) Fox 35, (1) set of plans for a Magician.

Rusty I fully intend to keep enough personal equipment and a couple of planes that I can take to the local park and fly if the notion strikes me.  The rest I will probably list on here in classifieds to sell. I had rather do it here than on
eBay

Mike, how do we thank you for what you have contributed to this sport/hobby.   We all get burned out a little and some times let others get to us.  My out let is car racing, watching the locals trying to stay off the wall and not crash each other.  Last night was two classes of sprint  cars and B-mods.   Any way go finish those fishing lures that have been waiting and go catch a mess of fish. H^^

Thank you Doc.  What I have contributed was a drop in the bucket compared to the Giants of this hobby.  There is one special person I want to acknowledge for making it possible for me to do what I did in the production of my kits.  That person is Eric Rule at RSM.  He was my sounding board and without his help and expertise in CAD and laser cutting, nothing I did would have been possible.  Of course without you and all the others in the community who supported me, none of it would have ever happened.

I probably will not post much but will be reading how you guys are doing on here.

You do realize you will be on here for three more days answering all the questions, right? H^^ LL~ LL~ LL~

Yeah TY, I am going to buy that coconut stand I always wanted on Tahiti with the money I made.  As far as the questions, I don't mind answering but there isn't much to tell.

I will probably drive over to Baton Rouge, if they find a place to have the contest so maybe I will see you there.

Mike grab a block of wood shape it into something, sand dope and rub it to perfection until it shines like a mirror. Set it down on the bench and admire it and that will ease you ailments. If not we'll be here when you get back.

Floyd I don't think you ever Forget the code.  I remember sitting rack, one earpiece on, the other on off, talking to the guy next to me, while drinking a cup of coffee and smoking a cigarette,  all at the same time.  You were always one group behind.  Most of the Soviet simplex nets back then were using women operators.  I still remember the call letters for control and the out stations .  CQ CQ De UDI....QSA IMI....

Not only that, but I was a member of the Keesler Model Airplane Club.  Most of 1952.  We flew on base, and combat on the beach at Gulfport.  Landing in the sand didn't help those Fox 35s.

I was there in '73 at Alee then Dollan Hall.

We flew at the ball diamonds across from the railroad tracks if you will at the bottom of the triangle. (left end when viewed from the air)

We did not have a club but there were about 15-20 of us flying at any one meeting for the day.
We all had such a great time back then.
Also, as I recall., I broke in my Merco 35 in my dorm room one afternoon.   VD~ VD~
